The NorthShore University HealthSystem Grand Prix of Cycling

Sunday, July 19, 2009
Evanston, Illinois

Downtown Evanston will be hopping for the third edition of the The North Shore University HealthSystem Grand Prix of Cycling. Come early and visit the local shops on the course and choose from over 30 restaurants and enjoy outdoor dining along the racecourse. For more information, visit www.northshoregrandprix.com or call Turin Bicycle at (847) 864-7660.

NOTE TO RIDERS: NorthShore University HealthSystem, our title sponsor, is interested in identifying a rider registered for and committed to race in Evanston who has been screened for cancer and, as a result of that screening, had a tumor or lesion removed or treated early, such that they lost relatively little time from work/school/training (when compared to the alternative). Such a rider, if willing to "go public" with their story, could help NorthShore University HealthSystem with their message for the day in Evanston, where they will be encouraging people to get screened for cancer, and could earn a small stipend for the day and a call out to the start line for helping us out with this. (Yes, we know Lance Armstrong has another engagement this July.) Candidates should please send an E-mail to cmailing@turinbicycle.com with "cancer screening" in the subject line. Please include which race you will be entering in Evanston.
