Enhance your enjoyment of the Point Premium Root Beer International Cycling Classic by volunteering to host riders! Each year, hundreds of riders from across North America and around the world converge on Eastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois to compete in the races. These riders range from veteran racers riding for professional cycling teams to experienced amateurs who take a week or two off from their "real" jobs to race the ICC, all the way down to young cyclists who are just getting started in racing.

For many of these cyclists, their trip to the event is made possible by the generosity and hospitality of a local family who participates in the Superweek Host Housing Program. Each year, more than 100 riders stay as guests in homes throughout the Greater Milwaukee area and in Northern Illinois. Our host families make a valuable contribution to the sport of cycling and have helped make the Point Premium Root Beer International Cycling Classic a world-class event.

Being a host family is a great opportunity to see inside the world of competitive cycling. In addition, you will have someone to root for at the races. Many hosts and riders develop lasting friendships and look forward to each July when they can get re-acquainted.

Hosting is easy. There are only three requirements:

1. You need to provide the riders a place to sleep (an air mattress is sufficient).
2. The riders need access to a shower.
3. The riders need a garage or other enclosed space to store their bicycles.

Hosts are not responsible for providing meals or transportation, although many riders will appreciate permission to store items in a refrigerator and having access to kitchen appliances. Although we always need hosts for the entire 17 days of the event, hosts may opt to house riders for only a portion of that time.
